Um. So. Something very very bad just happened, and I think I might be leaving fandom. Probably for a long time. I won't delete the journal because I do at one point want to come back, or PM someone just to catch up or something, and of course I have fic here, but everything has just spectacularly imploded in my face, in all our faces, really (I would say more, but the details aren't really mine to tell), and I won't be around for a long while. I'm sorry this is so sudden, but. Hey. That's life. I really wish I could stick around, but I just can't.
I wish you all the very best, and I'll really miss a few of you (you know who you are c: ), and you can always email if you really need me - although the Internet won't be my priority, not for a few months.

Basically, I have so much to write. So. Much. And I have about half an hour free a day to do it all in.
Life, why so hectic??
So I'm taking a bit of a break. I'm still available on PM or e-mail, but I won't be checking my f-list or really commenting at all on anything (and I know I'm a spotty commenter ANYWAY, and I really am really truly sorry, but oh god I have no time, no time I tell you!). ANYWAY, beta call! I've finished a 6950-word Snape/Luna fic for iulia_linnea, who very kindly 'purchased' my fic for livelongnmarry. If anyone would be happy to have a look at it and get back to me, I'd be so very grateful to you - this fic has definitely taken me out of my comfort zone, and it's a little dark (just a little? I shake my head at my transparent lies), and of course I want it to be the best it can be, so I'm really anxious for feedback.
I've sent it off to a couple of people already but PLEASE, if you feel you'd like to have a look and give me some feedback/suggestions then leave your e-mail in a comment or PM it to me. Also, if you can do it in the next few days (or at least in the next week)? That would be great :DD

I now have to get cracking on a Ginny/Pansy for the hp_girlslash mini-fest, in which I was prompted with some awesome Joanna Newsom lyrics. I keep on getting brilliant ideas, but none will stay long enough for me to get a story out of them! So, obviouly, that's annoying me, since it's a mini-fest, emphasis on that first 'mini'.
I also have a Pansy/Scorpius to complete, that is mostly done except for that little SOMETHING that it needs to make it all work, but I'm confident that I'll complete it once the Snape/Luna and Ginny/Pansy are over and done with.

Hey, all. It's been a while, hasn't it? :) Well, some of you know about it and some of you don't really, but life has been a bit nasty right now, in terms of emotions and grief and just general misery. I know - I bring the fun, right?
But anyway. I'm back in fandom - or to put it a different way I'm beginning to write again, and beginning to respond more to posts and comments. A lot of people have commented on my crossover of doom recently for some reason, but I'm only now responding. Sorry about that, guys, if any of you are reading. Hopefully you aren't too mad.
So, to round all this off I have some lovely fics to rec (Twilight, only, though. I haven't even tried to start reading HP fics again. Let it be said, though, that the suckiness of Twilight is inversely proportional to the suckiness of fanfic. Or in other words, fandom rocks my mismatched socks. Twific is perhaps 2859390000000000 times better than the writings of SMeyer): ( Two beautiful fics, and one hilarious one )

Well, holiday was awesome. Although I now have one sunburnt arm. But that's fine! And it's just, like, one strip. But otherwise a holiday was just what I needed to destress and get my head together. So I'm happy about that.
As usual, though, I missed all the fuss! I came back and there's been wank, well, in every fandom (the two I'm in, at least - Twilight got into fandom_wank for only the second time, bless them), there's been massive spoilers for the fourth Twilight book (which I am totally not reading in pdf right now) and there's finally a trailer for the HBP film! With a lovely creepy young!Tom. Although, to my knowledge, Christian Coulson (the guy from CoS) won't be back as teen!Tom, which disappoints me. Because, well, he was hot.
But anyway.
Back to writing and reading, and I guess I might have something by the end of the week :)

I had hoped to post ass_carnival drabbles today. I had also hoped to get more of my Pansy/Scorpius written.
These two things have not happened, and probably won't for a while.
Basically, All this meaningless babble is basically an excuse for not posting fic, and a reason for why I will be dropping off the face of the earth for roughly seven days and not able to respond to comments or emails. I am sorry (I am most sorry about the Pansy/Scorpius remaining unfinished; I was on a roll), and as an apology for my extreme fail I rec this excellent essay on Thestrals by swythyv. I really loved it - well written, interesting, and certainly plausible. If I can find time I might fire out a few drabbles tomorrow :).

So far there have been no bids. WTFPOTATO, this girl is an amazing author and, seriously, it's ten dollars well spent. I would bid if I could - unfortunately I'm broke as broke can be (remind me again why I have a child. What's more, a teenager), and can't afford to spare anything this month.
If you don't have much money to spare and are willing to benefit a great cause - I would really recommend this offer.

Okay. The next part is done. But.
This did not flow well at all. I cut it off at 1300 words, because just - it was annoying me, and nothing was going right, and the story kept on trying to go in ways that they just - weren't - meant - to.
So, here it is, but beware that I m immensley dissatisfied with it (there's one part I like. One paragraph):

Sorry for the capslock, but - I completely forgot to pimp this before today, so I'm doing it now!
livelongnmarry is a fandom auction to benefit marriage equality. There's loads of fannish goodness being put on offer and bidding starts today until July 15th. Have a look around and you'll see that there's a whole range of stuff on offer - from fanfic to original fic to fanvids to betas, and I've seen a few for socks as well. That's right. Socks. IS THIS THE MOST AMAZING AUCTION EVER OR WHAT?
It's also for a great cause - all money raised goes towards the fight against the initiative in California which will legally annul any existing same-sex marriages and ban any future ones.
So, I have offered a fanfic of no less than 3000 words in the Harry Potter fandom (although I will write Twilight. But I'd prefer HP). Because of the kick-ass awesomeness of this auction, and also because I probably would have anyway, I'm willing to try any pairing, any genre, any era. Minimum bid: $20. That's like, what, basically ten pounds where I live (I apologise for my atrocious Maths, if I am wrong)? Not bad at all.
Even if you don't want to bid on mine there are still great offers over on the comm from some really talented authors and vidders and the like, so go over and check it out! As of today you CAN bid, and bidding stops July 15th 12:01AM, one minute after midnight Pacific time.
